As we start another busy term, the AEGIS team would like to take a moment to celebrate the support and partnership of our wonderful Member Schools.Β Each term we find new ways to serve this growing community, and we take great pride in giving our members the advice and tools they need to support and nurture their international students, and work effectively with guardians.
AEGIS has championed the welfare of international students since 1994, but there is no doubt that recent years have seen a much greater recognition of the need for effective educational guardianship. The pandemic, and the recent raft of government guidance including the revised NMS, have contributed significantly to this trend. Schools now have greater responsibility and more explicit standards to meet in ensuring the quality of guardianship, and our members have worked incredibly hard to meet the new requirements. We have really enjoyed working closely with them to achieve this aim; consulting with the DfE, providing advice, documentary support, training and more.
We look forward to working with this fantastic community in the future, and to guiding our member schools as they continue to navigate the ever-evolving demands of the sector.
AEGIS Member Schools, we thank you for your support, and for demonstrating your commitment to the welfare of international students.
