Mental Health: supporting international students
Marie has a longstanding successful career in education and has significant experience in her field in both Alternative Provision and in the mainstream sector. Marie is a Behaviour Advisor for the Government and was previously a Headteacher of an Outstanding Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision. Marie’s work has sparked media interest and she has partaken in two BBC TV documentaries to document her work.
Marie’s ambition is to support as many children and young people nationally and internationally as possible. Her aims are for all children and young people to feel seen, heard, understood, empowered and safe; and for the adults supporting young people to adopt inclusive practices, that are preventative rather than reactionary.

In an increasingly complex digital world, getting online safety education right for our children seems to be an ever growing challenge.
Our mission at BE WEB-SAFE is to transform our digital landscape by educating adults and children about the way in which their brains behave online, to empower them. We provide training about ONLINE DISINHIBITION alongside suite of online safety resources for schools and businesses, giving all the tools needed to transform digital culture. Our aspiration is that when our children enter the adult world they will be surrounded by, and immersed in, a conversation built on being WEB-SAFE®, one digital footstep at a time.
- Create a proactive WEB-SAFE® culture that engages all stakeholders and supports positive online mental health and well-being.
- Empower staff, children and families to understand how their brain works differently (disinhibited) in a digital world.
- Embed a system of strong safety practices to mitigate risk at work, school and home.
- Ensure compliance with a checklist of best practice, attaining the WEB-SAFE® Gold Standard.
- Role-model WEB-SAFE® behaviour when interacting with an education establishment.
- Enhance the delivery of your duty to safeguard children online and face to face in school.
‘A very exciting package, providing informative and thought provoking CPD for staff with a range of exciting, child and parent friendly resources which will create and embed a whole school culture of being WEB-SAFE.’ Kelly Macadam, CEO, Collective Community Multi Academy Trust
Since 2017, Leading Education’s online and in-person programmes have supported over 5000 students through the application process to UK universities and boarding schools. We support students from the age of 10-18 from the very start of their English learning process to completing an interview at a top school or university. We see great success with our support with 43% of our students who apply getting an offer from Oxbridge and 85% from the G5.
Our online programmes are tailored to each individual student’s needs with a full study plan created that has been customised to the needs of the student. They will be taught by someone who will have studied the subject area at Oxbridge and are in the top 20% of tutors that apply to work with us. We work across all time zones with students based across the globe being able to take lessons with our high quality tutors.
Our summer programmes only enhance the opportunities we have for students with 2 of our programmes taking place at Linacre College, a college in Oxford University. With over 10 years of experience and expertise going into these summer schools from our staff members we are able to deliver some of the highest quality summer schools on the market at a more affordable price.
