Tuesday 3rd November – Safer Recruitment Training – Led by Ann Marie Christian, safeguarding practitioner and qualified social worker. This training session will ensure that you know how to recruit staff, volunteers and homestays safely.

Wednesday 4th NovemberKey International Student Markets to Consider – Baroness Usha Prashar & Rajan Nazran will provide unique insight into the global Indian diasporas and explore new international student markets.

Thursday 5th NovemberSafeguarding Update – Yearly update to support DSLs and staff focusing on changes in statutory guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education 2020) and furthering safeguarding culture, with Safeguarding Practitioner Adam Lubbock, Kings River Education.

MENTAL HEALTH

Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th NovemberMental Health Awareness – identifying symptoms and practical guidance for school staff and guardians supporting international students. Rachel Ewan, registered Mental Health Nurse, CEO and Founder of Mental Health & Wellbeing Training Ltd will deliver the training.

SAFEGUARDING

Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th NovemberDesignated Safeguarding Lead Training for guardians. Safeguarding Practitioner Adam Lubbock, Kings River Education, will deliver the training.

DIVERSITY

Wednesday 13th January 2021Promoting a Racially Tolerant Culture within your setting. Led by Ann Marie Christian, safeguarding practitioner and qualified social worker, who regularly delivers safeguarding training and more recently, training around racial discrimination.

SAFEGUARDING

Tuesday 26th & Wednesday 27th January 2021Child Trafficking: visa fraud, international students & exploitation – In May 2020 Dame Sara Thornton, Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, wrote to the independent schools’ sector regarding the risks involved with fraudulent Tier 4 visas and the trafficking of vulnerable children. Phil Spencer, ECPAT UK, will deliver valuable training on this topic for guardians and schools.
