Pippa’s Guardians Gains Gold Standard Re-Accredition
Pippa’s Guardians is a well-established, professional organisation with over 25 years’ experience looking after children and young people from around the world who are studying at boarding schools throughout England and Wales.
The lead inspector reported,
“Pippa’s Guardians takes a child-centred approach and safeguarding is at the core of all its operations. A highly experienced and knowledgeable Designated Safeguarding Lead is supported by a deputy and all Regional Managers have higher level training. All staff undertake regular AEGIS accredited safeguarding training, as do lead host family members who do not have such training through other professional roles. The Staff Code of Conduct, which is now incorporated in the Host Family terms and conditions, provides excellent advice on communication, building positive relationships with pupils and sets out clear boundaries for any adult working with children. The organisation takes its responsibilities for supporting the well-being and mental health of its students seriously and provides guidance as well as signposting links to suitable sources of professional support.”
Gold Standard Accreditation is the most prestigious accolade that a guardianship organisation can hold.
