Read School, Drax, is an independent day & boarding school for girls & boys aged 4-18, in the rural village of Drax, near Selby, North Yorkshire.
“Our wonderful pupils have come to us from Hong Kong, mainland China, Vietnam, Germany, Thailand, Macau, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Ukraine, Spain, Portugal and Russia, to name a few, and the list grows each year.
The EAL (English as an Additional Language) Department fully supports our overseas pupils by providing lessons in the English Language and assistance in other subjects.
Younger pupils adapt very well and have supplementary EAL lessons wherever possible.”
