White House Guardianships Passes Gold Standard Re-accreditation
Based in Bournemouth, White House Guardianships provides guardianship services for international students throughout the UK. It is a family run business that has maintained its high standards and reputation over the 30 years it has been operating.
“White House Guardianships have an excellent in-house system in place to store all required information, and to ensure that all checks have been completed before a family is allowed to host. Safer recruitment is fully understood and undertaken suitably, and one Director has recently completed safer recruitment training.” Lead Inspector
All AEGIS accredited guardianships organisations are required to have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who is fully trained in the role. Due to the size of the company, White House Guardianships have several DSLs and the lead inspector commented,
“It is apparent through discussion that the DSLs are fully aware of their responsibilities and engage with their counterparts in schools as well as external agencies when necessary. Suitable guidance, policies and procedures are in place for safeguarding, anti-bullying, preventing radicalisation, missing children and online safety, all of which are published on the organisation’s website.”
Many AEGIS guardianship organisations support day pupils and an AEGIS requirement is that they are aware of, and follow, private fostering duties. The lead inspector highlighted this area,
“White House Guardianships is highly experienced in private fostering and the Directors have established close links with their local private fostering team. They fully understand their responsibilities and engage fully with private fostering teams across the country where required.”
AEGIS Gold Standard is the highest level of inspection and accreditation. The process is based on the AEGIS Quality Standards available here: AEGIS QUALITY STANDARDS
