Etherton Education
Etherton Education provides academic summer courses for international students, aged 10-17, who require an academic pre-sessional course of study prior to joining their British school, or who want an authentic summer experience studying in a British boarding school. You will study intensive English and up to ten other academic subjects. The programme also includes lots of social activities, sport, clubs and cultural visits. You will work hard and play hard!
If you are coming to the UK to start at a boarding school in September, the Etherton pre-sessional summer course will prepare you well. After the summer, you will feel more confident and ready to study at your new school.
Our courses are also suitable for students who want to have a taste of life at a UK boarding school, or who want to study hard during the summer, and then return home.
Our Pre-A-Level / Pre-IB</strong> Courses are suitable for students aged 15-17 years who are preparing to study A-Levels in the UK, or the International Baccalaureate.<br />Site: Lord Wandsworth College, Hampshire.
Our Pre-Three Year A-Level</strong> Course is a slower paced course suitable for students aged 15-17 years who are joining a three-year A-Level programme, with more focus on basic English and techincal vocabulary.<br />Site: Lord Wandsworth College, Hampshire.
Our Fast Track Pre-One-Year GCSE</strong> Course is a six-week intensive course of study suitable for students aged 15-17 years who are intending to start a One-Year-GCSE programme.<br />Site: Lord Wandsworth College, Hampshire.
Our Pre-GCSE</strong> Courses are suitable for students aged 13-15 years who are preparing to study GCSEs or to enter Year 9. <br />Site: Wellington School, Somerset.
Our Junior Academic Course</strong> is suitable for younger students, aged 10-12 years. It combines hard work with lots of active learning and fun. <br />Site: Wellington School, Somerset.
Our Introduction to British Boarding Course</strong> is suitable for students aged 10-15 years. Each week is designed around a different theme and has been created in co-operation with Badminton School. <br />Site: Badminton School, Bristol.
